Providing accessible 18-hole golf for residents, youth, and visitors on the Kenai Peninsula for over four decades.
Carved into the Alaska Birch & Spruce
Opened in 1986 and designed by Dick Morgan alongside M. Davis and R. Collins, Kenai Golf Course was carved into native Alaska timber to offer affordable, high-quality public recreation for families, local league players, and tourists visiting the Kenai River.
Spanning 6,816 yards from the tips (par 72), the layout features tree-lined fairways, small greens requiring precise approach irons, and frequent wildlife sightings — including moose, caribou, sandhill cranes, bald eagles, and bears roaming the fairways under the midnight sun.
Ownership & Care: Operated under long-term lease from the City of Kenai. Following 17 dedicated seasons under Gordon and Debbie Griffin (2007–2024), new ownership took the helm in 2025, entering their second season in 2026 dedicated to continuing Kenai's public golf tradition.
