New golfers welcome
Your first round at Kenai
Nobody here cares what you shoot. This page tells you exactly how a round works so you can show up relaxed.
Step 1
Start with nine holes
Nine holes takes about two hours and costs a lot less than eighteen. Evenings after 5 PM are quieter and cheaper.
Step 2
You don't need your own clubs
Rental sets for right- and left-handed golfers are in the pro shop. Bring a bottle of water and shoes you don't mind getting damp.
Step 3
Book, then arrive early
Reserve a tee time online, then show up 20 minutes ahead to check in, pay, and hit a few putts.
Step 4
Dress for Alaska
Layers and a rain shell. No metal spikes, no denim on the course. Collared shirts are appreciated but not enforced.
What nine holes costs
- 9 holes — adult$32 / $36
- 9 holes — junior (17 & under)$18 / $20

- Keep pace — if the group behind is waiting, wave them through.
- Repair your ball marks on the greens and replace divots.
- Stand still and quiet while someone else is swinging.
- Rake bunkers when you leave them.
- Carts stay on paths near tees and greens, and off wet ground.
